Ken,
Going from a Yamaha black steel 13.25 x 17 to a Mirage plus 15.5 x 17. getting 5400 rpm and 44 mph on 150 hpdi with yamaha prop. What should I expect from the Mirage... have not run it yet.
Thx

your slip ratio with the Black steel prop is 5% which is very low. (good)
If you put the larger diameter Mirage on there, I think you'll loose speed and it will drop you about 300 rpm.
If you were slipping a lot, the Mirage would probably help a good bit, but since your not slipping, it may just create more drag.
But its always worth a try. Let us know what happens.

Ken...just tested Mirage and I got 5300 rpm and 43.3 MPH (GPS) on best run. Lost under 1 mph and 100 rpm. My mid range speed was better by about 2 MPH...hole shot did not change much. Load was a bit light. Do you think?

I'm suprised you got 5300 rpm, I thought it would have held you down a bit more.
Still don't think its worth the swap really. The Enertia might be worth a shot, but you still won't gain much, just 1 or 2 mph at best.
