Hi Ken,
My prop was ordered an July 9, and still has not arrived. You had mentioned two weeks delivery time? Any news on where my prop is and when it is going to arrive. Thanks,
G Charles Spray Jr.

Cool. Thanks.
I bought a GPS, and had the chance to check the boat with the current prop. I have been running the trim all of the way down and that is the reason the rpm is slower then it should be. I have a hearing deficit from a brain tumor, and cannot hear the engine well enough to tell how it is running, so I had no idea that the thing was overtrimmed, until I got the GPS, and could see the difference in the top speed vs RPM. Trimmed correctly the boat will turn the current prop 4600 RPM without any problems, and will over rev if allowed. The sweet spot turns out the be 52.9 MPH at 4600 RPM with throttle to spare. Once the Revolution 17 pitch has arrived, I will get all of the numbers for you, so you can help me select the appropriate cruising prop. I am wondering if a 19 pitch Revolution might be a good choice for cruising?

Well, thats going to change a few things, however, if holeshot was the main concern, you'll still probably like it.
Once you run the 17, then we can figure out what your slip ratio is, and be able to tell what a 19 pitch would do for you. That may end up being a good cruising prop for you.

No problem with the 17 pitch. I know that it is going to be like driving a car around in a middle gear, rather then high gear. The whole purpose of the 17 pitch Revolution is to have a great hole shot, to be able to pull multiple skiers with a loaded boat. If the boat tops out high enough to ski, roughly 35MPH while keeping the RPM in the 4300 to 4600 range, sort of like a wakeboard boat, then all is good. I am also thinking about installing a rev limiter to keep the kids from over reving the engine. I am not anticipating any problems with the new prop.

Give us the numbers when you run the 17, and we'll be able to figure out how a 19 would run for cruising.

Hi Ken, Prop arrived today! Thanks. It looks great. A lot more mass then the prop I am currently running. Unfortunately I will be working a lot for the next week and a half, so it will be a while before I get a chance to try it out. Charles
